Darth Nihilus was a Sith Lord who lived during the era following the Jedi Civil War. He first appeared in the video game *Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords*.
Once a human male who served during the Mandalorian Wars, he was profoundly affected by the activation of the Mass Shadow Generator on Malachor V. This event created a wound in the Force that instilled in him an insatiable hunger for Force energy.
He was transformed into a being of pure darkness, constantly needing to feed on living beings and their Force essence to sustain himself. Darth Nihilus wore a flowing robe and a mask to contain his decaying physical form, hiding his true visage. He co-founded a Sith Triumvirate with Darth Traya and Darth Sion, aiming to destroy the Jedi Order and consume all life in the galaxy.
